I love the air of antiquity and the fact that this Great Wall of China is still standing after so many years. Just imagine being here during its construction! Each brick being made by hand and then expertly placed. Hundreds of workers scurrying about in what would seem to an outside onlooker as chaos, but each knowing exactly what his job was. And then, the exaltation of all involved when the massive work was completed! While drawing each brick one by one, I sent thankful thoughts to all the souls involved in the planning and completion of this magnificent work and for leaving such a great legacy for future generations to enjoy. Pair this print with the black and white version to create a unique grouping for you wall.
